Runyon Canyon frolic

RunyonCanyon

Part of my weekend ritual is to walk/hike/run around Runyon Canyon in Hollywood. I love that I can get my exercise and feel like I’m not in a busy city anymore. Everyone always says that they see celebs there – I haven’t, but I’m also horrible at recognizing people. On the contrary I have seen paparazzo there, so I assume it is just as celeb-prone as everyone makes it out to be. I don’t go to gawk however, I go to get my fitness on. It’s a pretty simple hike, but there are more advance trails once you master the basic ones – I highly recommend doing it at least once.

Here are some pics from my latest jaunt up the mountain. I like that these pics look deserted even though it’s a bustling Saturday morning.

Lady Gaga & the Queen

gagaqueen

Lady Gaga was actually dressed more appropriate to preform and greet the queen than the junior Miley Cyrus who dawned hot pants for her performance, but later opted for a long gown to greet her majesty. Gaga, who is apparently a fan of fish & chips (she eats?), was hoisted into the air with a piano for the Royal Variety Show.

LRG’s Luxirie

lrg logo

Loving LRG’s (Lifted Research Group) new Luxirie line for ladies. The following looks are from Karmaloop and many of the small sizes in these threads have all ready sold out – typical!

Even though the company is bit casual for my style the new line shows lots of promise. Oh and here’s LRG’s motorcycle which I saw at a convention a few days ago.

The Cullen’s bite into architecture

garages

Even if you’ve been trapped in a well or lounging around a deserted island, you still know who the Cullens are. The most infamous family member being Edward Cullen as in the famous Twilight saga. One things for sure the family knows how to pick a great home. For being ancient vampires they have a very modern taste in architecture. Whether your Team Jacob or Team Edward you’ll be ecstatic to learn that the Cullen home from Twilight: New Moon is now on sale for a mere $3.82 Million.

The house is located in Vancouver and might still have that fresh Robert Pattinson smell on it.  Surrounded by lush green foliage there are sure to be some wolves for all of the Taylor Lautner lovers.

Take a peek:

If you’re also curious about the house from the original Twilight, it’s not for sale, but is equally as stunning. Created by Skylab Architecture this Portland home rests right by the border of Portland’s Forest Park where all you’re vampire dreams can come true.

J/K – Fashion’s Night Out actually going to be 9-10-10

fashion

Remember when I announced the return of Fashion’s Night Out for September 9, 2010? Well, I was just kidding.

Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and NYC & Company—the city’s marketing, tourism and partnerships organization—today announced that the date for Fashion’s Night Out will be changed from Thursday, September 9 to Friday, September 10, 2010. The initiative’s decision is based on its desire to maximize local consumer and tourist participation by holding the highly anticipated shopping event on a weekend evening. The organizers of the initiative, which includes the CFDA, will work closely with the fashion industry to ensure that the change in date will not disrupt the ongoing trade activities of fashion week and the shows during that time.

Actually not a bad idea, so people can stay out later without having to think about getting up for work in the morning.
