Lady Gaga & the Queen

Lady Gaga was actually dressed more appropriate to preform and greet the queen than the junior Miley Cyrus who dawned hot pants for her performance, but later opted for a long gown to greet her majesty. Gaga, who is apparently a fan of fish & chips (she eats?), was hoisted into the air with a piano for the Royal Variety Show.

Where the dirty hipsters are
You’re probably thinking they’re in Sunset Junction, but no the hilarity over at SecretSauce.tv made a parody Where The Wild Things Are trailer featuring LA hipsters. What’s funny is there is no park on Sunset & La Brea and I remember being at the Bigfoot Lodge and telling my friend that they filmed Yes Man and The Hills there. Oh and if you’re not familiar with hipster speak, PBR = Pabst Blue Ribbon. Enjoy!
Dress like your sex is on fire

Surprisingly, I’m not sick of “Your Sex is on Fire” from Kings of Leon as of yet; after all it is played on every radio station repeatedly, inside shops, parties, you get the idea. What I think is completely random is that they’re teaming up with French designers Surface to Air for a limited edition collaboration clothing line. Really? Do we need ANOTHER musician-turned-designer line? Especially one that looks exactly like items I could already purchase for any guy at Target or even a local thrift store. Alas, guys are VERY picky when it comes to fashion – they need that perfect fit without too much flare. That’s what this Kings of Leon and Surface to Air collab provides. No word on if the garments are going to be available in the states, but they will be at ParisTexas boutique in Copenhagen, Denmark if you happen to be in the area.

Sunset Strip Music Festival

The Sunset Strip Music Fest is the best outdoor concert I’ve been to in a long time. It’s kind of like a grown up warped tour, like what happens when all those angst ridden teenagers grow up. Musical and fashion tastes evolved, but surprisingly everyone was extremely nice and there was a fresh sense of camaraderie. Oh, the music was pretty awesome too. I got there kind of late, but did manage to catch KoRn, Shwayze, LMFAO, and Ozzy Osbourne. Love that there is finally a unique music fest that I can WALK too and that isn’t super corporate or expensive, I will for sure be back next year!

Breakdancing robots are awesome!
Check out Joe’s animated short Breaker Bot. It’s part boombox, part transformer, part cartoon and all awesome!
